General Terms and Conditions (GTC) Peakside Vacations – Holiday Rentals in Eggstätt (Germany) & Maria de la Salut (Mallorca)

1. Scope These General Terms and Conditions apply to the rental of our holiday accommodations by Peakside Vacations (hereinafter referred to as "Lessor") to guests (hereinafter referred to as "Lessee") for private stays. By making a booking, the Lessee accepts these conditions.

2. Booking & Conclusion of Contract Bookings can be made in writing, by phone, via our website, or through booking platforms (e.g., Airbnb). The rental contract comes into effect upon confirmation by the Lessor. A deposit may be required to confirm the booking.

3. Payment Terms Unless otherwise agreed, the following payment terms apply: Deposit: 20–30% of the total amount at the time of booking Remaining balance: Due no later than 14 days before arrival Payments can be made via bank transfer or through booking platforms.

4. Cancellation / Withdrawal In case of cancellation by the Lessee, the following fees apply, unless different cancellation policies are stated on booking platforms (e.g., Airbnb):

• Time of Cancellation Cancellation Fee Up to 30 days before arrival 20% of the total price
• 29–14 days before arrival 50% of the total price
• From 13 days before arrival or no-show 90% of the total price

The Lessee may provide evidence that the Lessor suffered no or significantly less damage. We recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance.

5. Check-in and Check-out Check-in: From 3:00 p.m. (local time) Check-out: By 10:00 a.m. (local time) Individual arrangements may be possible. Late check-out may incur additional charges.

6. Use of the Accommodation The accommodation may only be occupied by the number of guests stated in the booking. Pets are only allowed by prior agreement. Parties, events, or disturbances to neighbors are prohibited. The accommodation must be treated with care and left in a tidy condition. Any damages or defects must be reported to the Lessor immediately.

7. Liability The Lessor is not liable for the personal belongings of the Lessee. The Lessee is fully liable for any damages caused by themselves or accompanying guests. Use of facilities such as pools, BBQs, terraces, or hot tubs is at the guest’s own risk.

8. Force Majeure If the accommodation cannot be made available due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, official orders, pandemics), no compensation claims shall arise. Any amounts already paid will be credited or refunded.

9. Data Protection Personal data provided during the booking process will be treated confidentially and used only for processing the rental. Data will not be shared with third parties.

10. Jurisdiction & Law For accommodations in Eggstätt, German law applies. For accommodations in Maria de la Salut (Mallorca), Spanish law applies. Jurisdiction is based at the Lessor’s registered office, where legally permissible.

11. Severability Clause If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
